The payment flow

  1. Review the quote

    Check the service, unit price, spending ceiling, expiry, and duration rules before authorizing payment.

  2. Prepay the ceiling

    The x402 payment buys a bounded operation. Calls and meetings run within the agreed time limit.

  3. Reconcile actual usage

    The bill records the units used. Unused prepaid balance is returned in a separate Hedera refund, linked to the original payment.

  4. Keep your result

    Your private credential retrieves session status and transcripts. Reading a paid conversation does not require a second purchase.

Is the calculator a service quote?

The calculator lets you explore duration-based arithmetic. The quote returned for your chosen service determines its actual price, billing unit, rounding rules, and maximum charge.

Is unused balance returned immediately?

Usage must first be reconciled. The receipt tracks the refund separately so your agent can distinguish a pending refund from a completed one.

Can a payment receipt unlock a transcript?

A public payment receipt alone cannot unlock private conversations. Use the private retrieval credential issued for the purchased session.
